"Green" Cars-Autos "Verdes"

The world is running out of oil and what is left is becoming more and more expensive. While we try to reduce emissions and counter global warming, we ponder what is the vehicle with the cleanest and more efficient alternative fuel for the consumer?

Hybrids, The Viable Option.
On this long road towards a world free of gasoline, hybrid cars powered by hydrogen, natural gas, electricity, diesel and bioethanol are gaining ground. There are promising options ahead, though not all of them are viable, either due to their high price tag or because their distribution outlets at alternative fuel stations are difficult to find.
These vehicles operate successfully in the main cities around the world and with a noticeably reduced pollution level. They feature two engines: one with an electric battery and the other an internal combustion engine, which alternate as needed. Whenever the electric one is off-line, the battery is charged. The most popular models in the United States are the Toyota Prius, the Honda Civic Hybrid and theFord Escape Hybrid.
